This is an amazing thought. My parents never said; "act like a child!" But, Jesus we are to have faith like a child. I want to follow Christ with the kind of faith of a child. They are amazing, they simply believe, even though they don't understand everything. It seems to me like we adults think we have to understand everything before we will truly believe.
The bible, in the book of Hebrews, tells us that faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. That sounds rather childish... and I want to be like a child in the way I have faith in God and recieve the love of God.
In fact, the Bible doesn't challenge us to be intellectual critics but rather people of childlike faith.
How amazing!
I encourage you to "act like a child"!

One of my favorite scriptures and stories. Jesus loved the little children. They were so open to Him. They had not formed opinions about everything and everyone yet. No prejudices. Just acceptance. How do I get to that place again where I just accept Christ for who He is. Believe on Him and Trust Him. Putting aside all the garbage that has filled me over the years and simply accepting Him and living my life for Him. I pray for Childlike faith.
