Fake

Hypocricy is a type of being a fake! It seems like those of us who grew up around church and the Christian faith can very easily fall into being a "fake". We learn the words, songs, actions and have a pretty good idea how this "faith thing" is supposed to work, but, we don't have it in our heart. It is head information and not heart transformation!

The devo says; "The only sure way to avoid hypocricy in your life is to faithfully serve God without contridiction." While I fundamentally agree, I believe I need to add that we must have a true heart transformation not just keep all the rules and regulations in our head and in our daily lifestyle. It really begins in the heart and then moves to daily action.

Is there any area of your life that has a touch of hypocricy? Be honest! It is important for us to do this examination and make faithful adjustments! What is the Holy Spirit speaking to you (me) about this one?

God bless you!

  1. Being a hypocrite is a big trap for me. I can't stand people who go to church on Sunday, act all pious and religious, but are anything but as soon as they leave the church grounds. Lots of them around. Now, being judgemental of those people puts me right in their place. I have to go look in the mirror and make sure I am taking care that I portray Christ likeness no matter where I am and what I am doing. What other people do or don't do is not my responsibility. Spending time every day reading God's word tells me how I should be acting every moment. Most of the Bible talks about daily living so I pray God works through me not just on Sunday singing in the choir, but anytime I am interacting with others as well as when I am alone.
