Plans

I have a tendency to like a good plan. I know God has one, I just want to know what it is... all the time. The devo mentioned Joseph doing what was right when he came before Pharaoh, but he did not know that was going to fulfill God's plan. When Pharaoh asked Joseph about what to do with the dreams, plenty and famine... Joseph had no idea his answer was going to fulfill God's plan. He just gave the most Godly answer he could think to offer. I think there is a great lesson in that. We don't know what we are going to do today to help fulfill God's plan, but we can be the most Godly we know how to be and believe that it will work into God's plan. In fact, I am confident that it will.

Daily, Godly faithfulness as a man, husband, father, employee, citizen and neighbor is all a part of God's plan. If I am faithful in the little things, I can fit into God's bigger plan.

Sometimes we worry too much about the "big" plan when we really ought to focus on being faithful in the everyday plan of life. God does have a plan and it starts with the little things... how are you working God's plan?

How about you?

  1. Personally I think God's plan is so far beyond my understanding that I can only grasp a very small part of it. I tend to put God in a box and think His plan is simple and straight forward and similar to how I make plans. Satan uses this to try and defeat me by telling me I am not following God's plan or I am out of God's plan or God has no use for my gifts, skills, or abilities because I am thinking in a very human limited way. While I know that there is only one way to heaven and that is through the blood of Jesus Christ our Savior, I do believe that there are multiple choices that God puts me in to lead me to the end of His plan for me. Have I always made the choice he wanted me to make. Absolutely not, yet I believe He is always there waiting for me to get back on His path. Are there multiple correct paths? I believe so. His plan is so much bigger than I can comprehend, yet His plan for me is simple. He wants me to spend eternity with Him. Father help me to make right choices and to listen to you daily.
