God is my provider! He provides my needs. I seem to get troubled about my wants that go beyond my needs. I am eternally grateful that God provides me a way of salvation, acceptance, love, mercy, wisdom, daily assistance, a way of escape when I am tempted and the comfort of the Holy Spirit. Wow! the problem is that I don't often ask for those things. I generally ask for more tangible, physical type of things, things that will not make it to eternity. When I step back and take an eternal view of God's provision for the eternal "real" and "lasting" things, then I can see that God really is my great provider.
I have to remind my self... "get your eyes on the right things!"

God gives me so much. It is good to think about all He does once in a while so I remember and remain thankful to Him. It may not seem like much from the world's view point, but when I think about eternity, He has made a way for me to be with Him. Too often I think of the things I need (want) here on earth. The important things I need are freely provided by my heavenly Father. Salvation, Mercy, Wisdom, Comfort, A way out of temptation, Faith. Since He has provided me with a good job that provides my food, shelter and clothing, what more can I possibly need? Father help me to accept the important things you provide so that I can spend eternity with you.
