I have heard people say, "I would die for my faith!" Some people have had to face some pretty scary things and die for their faith. That takes real courage. However, I believe it takes even more courage to live boldly for your faith. Frankly death has an end. When we have to live boldly for God, even in the face of persecution, it takes great courage.
Will you live courageously for Christ when people make fun of your faith or how you live out your faith? Will you live courageously when you stand up for Biblical Truth and people mock you? Will you live courageously when temptations come with friends and you need to turn them away?
God is looking for men who will live courageously for Him. I want to have that kind of courage. Remember... "be the one to take a stand so that othes will be inspired to follow."
Where have you had your courage challenged... how did you respond?
God bless you,
PJ

Courage, like most things in life, is a choice. To be courageous for Christ is the same thing. I must choose to stand for him in every situation. I doubt that I will ever face the persecution that my brothers and sisters in other countries face, but whatever comes my way, I must choose to stand for Christ. Satan throws things at us in unusual ways and it is easy to just keep quiet, go along with, or ignore the opportunity to stand. God has promised me that He will never allow more than I can handle to come my way. What a promise. Why then not stand for Him. When I read His Word daily and communicate with Him Every morning, I start the day armed and ready to face what comes my way. I have missed my devotional time a couple of days recently and I have physically and mentally noticed a difference in my attitude. Father, help me to do my part to prepare for each day's battle. You have promised to be with me and to help me stand for you.
