Power Hungry?

Missed a couple of days and now we jump into a manly subject. Men love power. Whether it is more power for the car, lawnmower, computer, or power of influence on the job or the power of money. It seems to have started by being captured with the super power of the super heroes. This has not changed over the years; from the mythological Greek characters with superpower to our current world of fictional super heroes. We long to be associated with someone of power.

God is the answer. It is not mythology, it is Biblical history and truth. Our access to the God of the universe is through Jesus Christ, His son.

When we recieve Jesus Christ into our life, we recieve the one who said, "all power and athority has been given to me" (Matt 28). We need to seek Jesus and God and find the power we need in them and through them.

I find it in the Truth of the Bible and the ever present help of the Holy Spirit and my trust in His Divine help and guidance.

The devo helps us remember that we are weak and He is strong. God desires to work in us and give us the power we need to be what we should be. Ask for God's power to help you today and everyday!

Live in His power!

  1. I have had power. When given authority over others, it can be a very heady experience. Yet when I had such power, I still answered to a higher authority and was responsible for all decisions I made. My power of authority was just an extension of that higher authority. There is no power higher than God. It humbles me that He wants to show His Mighty Power through me. Father, help me to be humble and seek your will so that you can work through my weakness.
