What a great thought in today's devo! One that most men don't often think about. How can I make God look at me and say; "Wow, what a great guy!" In reality we can, but it takes obedience, honesty, integrity, worship, and faithfulness.
The bible tells us that obedient people can one day hear; "well done". We need to be men that work to hear that from our God. We need to choose to delight Him so that He takes delight in us.
Being a grandparent reminds me of this; "I take great delight when I hear my local granddaughter come running up to me and say, Papa!. And then jump into my arms. I take great delight to hear one of my grandson's who live in Texas get on the phone and say, "hi grandpa, what you been doing today?" I take great delight to see my grandson play in the school band.
God takes great delight in us when we live well for His glory and not just for a day or two, but consistently.
I want God to delight in me... how about you? What do you want?

It is humbling to think that the creator of the universe actually takes delight in anything I might do for Him. He cares that much for me. Starting each day with Him helps keep in mind that I am His and my thoughts and actions can bring delight to Him.
