Tired

I would guess that most of us have found ourselves weary, maybe daily. I really appreciated Psalm 84:5-7 in the devo today. It states "when" we walk through the valley of weeping, not "if". All of us will be weary, we simply need to learn the best antidote for us. Maybe it is sleep. Maybe it is some alone time in God's Word. Maybe a nice quiet date with our spouse or girl friend. Maybe it is some good exercise to burn off some stress. Maybe it is some healthy food. Whatever it is that can help in our weariness, do it.

For me, getting some sleep helps immensely. I gain a new and healthier perspective when I am well rested.

What helps you when you are weary?
What did this devo speak to your heart? What action should you take?

God bless you!

  1. I needed this one today. My devotional time has been sporadic for the past month and I have been discouraged with it. I think the devo is more about discouragement than tiredness. However, when I don't get enough sleep or rest, it opens the door for discouragement. I have also gotten tired of my routine and am looking for something different to do in my devotional time. This also discourages me since my routine is good and keeps me focused on my devotional time. It is a vicious circle and Satan has a hey day with me. Being tired leads to discouragement and being discouraged is a tiring state to be in. An interesting thought. Since Satan has been attacking me so hard in this area, it leads me to believe that I have been on the right track. Now to exercise discipline to get enough rest and that will make it easier to choose to be encouraged. Thank you Father for your Word.
