What next? Pray!

I believe that most of us throw up quick, "Oh God, I need your help" prayers when we don't know what to do. I want to affirm that it is right to pray in times of need. However, we need to be men who pray regularly, everyday, for God's divine direction in our life. We need to be interceeding for our own life and direction, protection and purpose. And we need to pray that same way for our wife and children. Intercession (or praying for life's needs) ought to be an everyday practice.

How about you? Have you interceeded (prayed) before God for your needs, your family, your church, your community, your nation, your national leaders, the world in which we live?

Men! Interceed! Start today... if nothing else... make a list and use your drive time to interceed (pray). God will give you direction.

God bless you,
Pastor Joe

  1. What a promise. The Holy Spirit intercedes for me. It is humbling to know God cares for me so much. There are some on my prayer list that I don't know how or what to pray for them, so I just give them to God who knows best. I think this is kind of what the devo is talking about. I can come to God with anything and everything regardless whether I know what to ask for or not. I need to spend more time in the Bible and bringing my prayer list to Him, trusting Him with the answers.
