Wow, this is such an important spiritual and life skill. Since the Bible informs us that "all things work together for our good to those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose" (Romans 8:28) then we need to get perspective, that is, a Godly perspective. A number of years ago there was a Christian singing group who had a song, "A New Point of View". It dealt with the idea of seeing life from a heavenly view point... that is perspective.
I don't know about you, but I begin to lose the Godly perspective when I focus mostly on me and stop reading the Bible. My ability to maintain a Godly perspective is closely related to staying close to God.
How about you?

Reading God's word on a daily basis helps me keep perspective. I need to get back to it. Pray for me that I will get back into my routine. It can be hard for me to keep perspective about God's plan when I get so caught up in the world around me. By reading the Word, I know I am a winner and in the end, we have victory. God's plan is so much bigger than what I can see. All I have to do is trust Him and leave my life in his hands.
ReplyDeleteI, and many men, have trouble staying in the disciplined routine of regular reading of God's Word. That is what helps me maintain that Godly perspective!
