Get up! That is what Jesus did after three days in the grave. He got up and lived again. His resurrection is the demonstration of His power over sin, Satan and death.
The resurrection is what sets Christianity above every other religious system. No other religious leader can make the claim. And, that Truth, is what gives us hope. Since Jesus rose from the dead, we have the promise of resurrection and heaven. He did it, we can do it through His power. That is how we get heaven and that is why death, here on earth, is not so overwhelming.
This is the Easter season... thank you Jesus for rising from the dead and winning victory over sin, Satan and death.

The resurrection of Jesus gives me hope of eternal life with Him. I don't have to worry about this old world and all it can bring to me. My life here is but a brief moment compared to my life with Him. Talk about peace of mind. No matter what comes my way, if I trust His word and promises, I can make it through. Father, help me to put my trust in you and not in the things of this world. I pray that my life will be a witness to others so that they will put their faith and trust in the resurrection of Jesus. What a gift to us.
