Each of us are an example, it is just a matter of deciding what kind of an example we will be. Many years ago I watched our second son pick up the cat and toss it outside with all the fervor of His father. I realized I had set the example.
I am amazed at how, we in the christian church, has embraced so many of the patterns of the world. Most of it by following someone's example. I am personally challenged to follow Christ's example and try to set that pattern as an example in my family, with my friends, in the community and in the church.
I want my example to be Christlike, but I must know Christ very well before I can be a Christlike example. I do that by reading God's word, reading devos like the book we are reading, watching Godly men and consciously choosing to follow the Christ example.
Be careful, you are an example. Watch your words, reactions, temper, jokes, etc... you are setting an example.

Jesus' taught his followers, led his followers, and served his followers. What an example to us as individuals. No matter my circumstance I am a leader. Whether a leader in the church, at work, or at home, I must follow Jesus' example to be the best leader I can be. I have to leave the mistakes of the past in Jesus' hands and strive to be the best I can be today.
