Change

Change is one of the hardest things for many of us. Changing our heart is the work of God, through salvation, by accepting Jesus into our life and receiving His forgiveness. Changing our thought process is a vital part of our discipleship. Romans 12:2 tells us to "...not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind."

The idea is that change requires that we fill our mind with the information that will lead us toward the change we want to accomplish. If I want to become a more Godly man, more thoughtful father, better employee, etc... I need to fill my mind with the things that will help me change.

What are you reading, watching, thinking about, etc... it all will influence your ability to change to become all that God desires you to be.

God bless you,
PJ

  1. When I spend time with Him through prayer, praying to Him, for others, for needs, etc. and read His word, He can work a change in my heart and mind. My thought pattern and desires begin to fall into line with God's. Unless I get to know Him, I cannot know His ways and I will live for myself choosing things and life styles that appeal to my natural desires. He has promised to change me for the better if I will simply spend time with Him so He can.
