Most of us don't like the "distress" or problems and pains of life. The devo today helps us through the tough times of life.
Also, go to 2 Corinthians 1:3-7. We can see value in gutting it out with the Holy Spirit's help... God wants to use us to help others.
In fact, the next three days take us down this road... keep turning to 2 Corinthians 1:3-7.

What is distress or trouble in my life? Physical issues, mental issues, family issues, job issues...all can and have been or are distress or trouble areas in my life. I have yelled at God. Probably not the best way to communicate with Him, but He heard me and gave me peace. He is in control and I must make the choice to let Him handle everything in my life. I find that when I try to take control of situations, my stress level goes up. I like today's scripture. Psalm 91:15 "When they call on me, I will answer. I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue them and honor them."
ReplyDeleteThank you Father for being in charge. Help me bring everything in my life to you and to quit trying to do it myself.
Daily i turn my physical ailments over to Christ. I stress otherwise. I find that trying to cope without Christ, all this does is create turmoil for not only me but my family and wife. I deserve more, and get more as i surrender to Christ, my family gets the best of me and those around me see the calmness in my spirit. Thank you Lord, I praise daily for the healing, the removal of pain and the help in the coping with my needs.
