Have you ever had someone say; "trust me!"? It is something we hear quite often. I don't know about you, but many of us have trouble trusting because we feel like we have had our trust broken. However, I have learned that when it relates to trusting God, the issue is not an issue of God being trust worthy, simply an issue of me understanding who God is, how He works and how I should view God.
When I know God always answers prayer, it is just that He always answers in the way that He knows is best for me. And when I know that God is trustworthy I will pray, "Thy will be done" and trust Him.
Trusting God is easier when I understand and believe that He is God and I am not.
Again, I hang onto Proverbs 3:5-6.... Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.
God, I choose to trust YOU!

Love, Trust, Believing, are not emotions, but actions that we choose to do. The Purpose Driven devotional a while back stated that love is not a ditch we fall into. It is a choice we make. I must choose to believe God's Word, I must choose to believe in God, I must choose to love God, I must choose to trust God. It is all a choice I must make. Simple, yes. Easy, no. But, if I spend time in God's Word and communicate with Him daily, those choices become more natural to make. God has provided me examples of His trustworthiness in His Word, my grandparents, parents, numerous friends. Father, help me to turn all my being over to you in complete trust. I know you are trustworthy. Help me to believe it is for me.
