We returned to the subject of failure again, just like we have a tendency to fail again. I greatly appreciate the statement in the devo; "failure is not fatal." Praise God for His forgiving grace. However, there is a danger of not taking the consequences of our failures serious. Failures can be forgiven, but they may leave us wounded, scarred, broken, marginalized, distanced from friends and or family. Each of us needs to be careful to guard our heart, soul and mind and stay as focused as possible on the faith walk with God. Failures may be forgiven, but they can really hurt.
Take a special account of your life. Often you can see failure coming like a head on collision. Take note and get back in your lane... miss the failure and stay faithful. Make the changes necessary to get back in the right lane of living with God, family, friends and your church. The Holy Spirit is guiding you, telling you what to do... do it now and avoid a failure!
If you have failed... tomorrow we learn about succeeding after failures.
God bless you

As I read the Bible, I see how the great men of God failed at times. Yet most of them fell before God, asked for forgiveness and then got up and kept on doing their best for Him. In reading the Old Testament accounts, it amazes me how some who had seen the mighty power of God in their lives and country, turned away and did not repent. By reading the word daily, God shows me how to live. He shows me that when I fail, I can ask for forgiveness, receive it, and continue on walking with Him. What a wonderful God. Father, help me to keep on keeping on and leave the past failures behind. Thank you for your continuing forgiveness and patience.
ReplyDeleteIt is so true that the great men/women fail so easily until they go to their knees seeking the face of God. Failure is the option, unless we seek and place it in God's hands. The Bible is clear, follow the instructions and the reward is great. My wife is a teacher and points out almost everyday to her students, that it is so much more time consuming, difficult and complex to do something wrong than it is to just do it right the first time.
ReplyDeleteConfess, turn away and give it over to Christ! Jesus is waiting to intercede for us, at the throne, just for us! Thank you Lord!
