The title words sound like "rationalization". We are a nation of people who rationalize our sinful behavior.
It is vital for us to grasp the reality that "sin is sin"! I won't be able to rationalize myself out of my sins and into heaven. Jesus will judge me and he knows the real nature of my actions.
I am going to choose to be honorable in my behavior and not rationalize sin!
Remember some of the things we say....
..no one will know.
..no one will get hurt.
..it is no big deal.
..everybody is doing it.
..I deserve it.
..Jesus will forgive me.

It is so easy to use rationalization to do or not do something. I want something or want to do something, so I rationalize until I have convinced myself to buy or do. Not always is this wrong, but it can be a trap to sin. It still comes down to a choice whether I rationalize or not, I choose to do or not do. Daily communication with the Father, and reading His Word, helps me stop this mental game and simply make right choices. It can be tough, but God is faithful. Thank you Father for being with me in all my choices. Help me to ask you for guidance in all things.

ReplyDeleteRationalize Sin. This is so true, we as Christians so like to rationalize Sin. Churches even rationalize Faith, by watering down sermons and give the congregation what is pleasing to their ears, not what is Biblical, spiritual or Godly, but will "Fly" and not step on to many toes! It hurts physically when I feel that what I am hearing is "What is pleasing to Man" not what is Godly. If I question anything, immediately RED FLAG! When you are in the Word, when you are of the Word, when your heart fills with Love, when your Spirit is calm your not having to rationalize, you have realized. God is God, Sin is Sin, Life is Love.
ReplyDeleteThank God , God is good and just. I live to be judged by the King of Kings. Sounds crazy, but I live to be judged and to walk the streets of gold, in His heaven and in my mansion. I don't need to rationalize, I know His word is truth.
