I am continuing to grow in my love and appreciation for the Bible! In part, not just because I like to read it and learn from it, but I like to read about it. The book, The New Evidence that Demands A Verdict is by Josh McDowell and it is a great book that helps me grow in defending my faith. He opens the book with several chapters about the Bible. It is powerful when we understand that the Bible passes the three fundamental tests of historical literature.
Read the Bible, it is your help, guide, encouragement and trust worthy Word from God. However, you might want to read Josh McDowell book and then you will go back to the Bible with more confidence.

I have had a Bible most of my life and yet do not understand much of it. It is the Word of God and I read it daily to listen for a Word from the Lord for me or if He leads me, for someone else. Personally, I believe the Bible is the written and inspired Word of God and Trust in it's words to lead my life. Through it, God will work in my life to use me for His work. That is all I want. To follow His lead.
