Ice Cream Cone

When I was a kid, I would give myself a goal and if I accomplished it, I could go buy myself an ice cream cone. I am challenged by the devo today to revisit my daily, life goals and eternal goals. What about personally? What about as a husband or father? What about vocationally? What about church? What about the Kingdom of God? What about sharing Christ with others? What about you? Do you have any goals? Oh, by the way, put some ice cream stops along the way to keep you motivated. God bless!

  1. What a reward for being focused!!! The glory of heaven, of personally fellowshipping with Christ and of sharing the inheritance!!! Just like the taste that Ice cream was, oh so much sweeter, cooler, the reward we have of reaching/attaining God's call on us will just as much be so awesome and great.
It is hard to serve while not over-doing to a point you start to miss out. I want so much to serve, to reach out to let everyone/anyone know the Word and how truly awesome it is. I do tend to over serve, to try and spread myself out to far. My wife is so awesome to let me know in such a way as to be loving, but so remindful of God's word. It is so true, I would rather hit with every punch, than wear myself down just flinging punches, hoping they land.
Thank you Lord, for my wife, your understanding and direction. All I do is for your glory, I live to serve you and to follow your need for my life.

  2. My goal this year is to live a healthy lifestyle physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually to better serve God, my wife, family, employer and church. God has helped me meet my goal of having daily devotional time this past year. Something I have never done. It just sets the tone for the day. When I miss it, I really miss it. Thank you for your messages, Pastor.
