Yes! You are called by God!

All of us are called. That is a universal calling where God desires us to be Christian believers. And... All of us are called to be witnesses for Christ (Matthew 28:18-20). Many people think of "God's Calling" as something for the preacher and or missionary. There is a vocational calling into ministry, however, it is not everyone! I recall our younger son struggling with this question; "Should I be a preacher? But that is not what I want to be! I want to be in the fitness business. I believe God has gifted me for the fitness business." I responded to tell him that God gifted him and he should give whatever gift he has to God. Use it for God and build God's Kingdom. Today my son is in the fitness business and he likely witnesses to more people for Christ on a daily basis than anyone I know. He has found his calling. You are called, fulfill it right where you are!

Remember we are all called of God to be a Godly... laborer where we work, husband to our wife, father to our children, citizen in our community, etc....

Fulfill your calling!

  1. It is so important to daily seek God's word, to always tune ourselves to our Spirit within so that we can fulfill the call God places on our unique gifts. God uses these various gifts so that the world better comes to know His world. As we as followers of Christ know, people relate so much to the example of those they meet. As I pray and become better equipped to further God's word, I do find that the long road becomes so much better with the knowledge that God's will is being done.
I am thankful to god for His grace, His strengthening of my spirit and for equipping me to do His calling on my life for Him.
I am so thankful for His calling, while so aware that without God, all my effort is nothing.

  2. I sometimes wonder what my calling is when my interests are taking cemetery and headstone photographs and Genealogy. However I do have a family and a job as well as a church where I can serve as He leads me and opportunities arise. Daily Bible reading and prayer time are the catalyst for being aware of those opportunities that might come my way.
