The bible informs us that Solomon's greatest prayer request was to ask for wisdom. I pray that I can fear God (in the right sense of fear), understand God and then have Godly wisdom. I know I must seek God through faithful study of the Holy Bible and I He will grant me ever increasing levels of Godly wisdom. I am challenged to grow in Godly wisdom! God bless you!

King Solomon asked for Wisdom to rule Israel. 2 Chronicles 1:11a God said to Solomon, "Since this is your heart's desire..." I pray that my heart's desire is in line with God's word and that God will grant me wisdom to live for him, make right choices, see opportunities to speak the word, and fulfill the responsibilities he gives me. What a great God we have. Open my eyes Lord.
ReplyDeleteThe devo is so correct in that true wisdom is not only knowing right things, but also how this knowledge is used for the greatest good. Knowing the Bible front to back falls way short if the knowledge recieved in knowing the Bible is not used to further the teachings that are in the Bible.
