As I read today, I thought of how many times I felt like asking for "do overs". I am grateful for a fresh start with God. I am asking God's Spirit to renew me and continue the great work He has started in me. I am going to purpose in my heart, soul and mind to plant good seeds in me and in others.
God bless and Happy New Year, Pastor Joe

As I read today's devotion, I see that like a farmer; God looks over his harvest in us, sees what needs reseeding, what seeds were fruitful and where in us we need weeding, more study, more learning and time to grow. Like a farmer, God does not give up, He harvests what helps a good heart, removes the thought, ideas and actions that hinders our growth. Then God reseeds, begins anew and plants within us the seeds for our renewal in love for God and His ways.
ReplyDeleteI purpose to make the ground that is my heart, soul and mind open, receptive to God's word and teachings so that I become more like him. Vhoking out the bad seed of discontent or thoughts that do not follow His course for me.
Every day is a fresh start. It is an opportunity to be open to God's word (seed) being planted and nourished in us. These daily devotionals are one way of listening to the Father's guidance in letting Him create in me a clean heart.
