Today we learn about faith being our shield for protection. I remember, as a boy, my Dad would mention God's protection and that God was protecting us in situations when we didn't even know it. For example... "when He alerted the driver to stop at the red traffic light, because if they had come through, they would have broadsided you." While I don't specifically know that happened there have been a few times I was delayed in the office or at home and when I left to go to my destination I came upon an accident. I have often wondered if my delay kept me from the accident!
I know I must have faith to trust and believe that God is and will be my shield. I must remember; "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him..." Romans 8:28 I am counting on God being my shield and working for my good. How about you?
God bless you,
PJ

How can one face the challenges thrown at us daily if we don't communicate with our Father on a daily basis. Again and again, these devos draw us to daily communication. God is a warrior God and He provides us with the tools to go into battle if we trust and accept His leadership and trust and follow His instruction. If we don't communicate with our leader, how can we know Him, and if we don't know Him, how can we Trust Him. We must put on the armor, load up on ammunition and prepare to face the battle...daily. The HUGE difference in this analogy is that our Victory is assured. Father, I get so frustrated when things don't go my way or my plans get interrupted. Help me to Trust you when this happens and to look for opportunities you are placing before me or putting me in.
