Trust Me!

I wonder how many times I have heard someone say, "trust me!" Today's devo reminds me of God saying "trust me!" When life seems to offer uncertainties I turn to Proverbs 3:5-6; "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." I needed this word today!

  1. Yesterday and today are a good word for me. This past year of setting a regular time of devotion has been good, but many times I don't "feel" much in the way of God's will in my life. Yesterday's "if you separate yourself from God, you are removing yourself from His plan, His guidance, and His promises. Come back to Him, and He will redeem your lost time." Now that was a GOOD WORD, but the uncertainty of what He wants me to do, does cause distress. Today's word that God reveals what I need to know to live for him now and I can trust Him with each next step, is just what I needed.

  2. The book makes the statement to the effect that "there is always an element of mystery in God's will," which I sort of took to mean that you're never completely sure of what He wants you to do.

Do you agree with that? Or are there times when He really makes it so crystal clear that there's no mystery at all...we KNOW beyond a shadow of a doubt what He wants and expects from us.

  3. I am so glad at times that God does not reveal everything all the time. I like the accountability of having to place that trust in him, that I need to look to him always each step of the pathway. It builds within me that resource of having His will, His direction, always guiding my thoughts and actions.
